Øresund Environment Academy aims to enhance competence in a region where educational institutions and companies already possess exceptional environmental, energy and building expertise. Our specific goals are:
- to provide a common forum where business, researchers and authorities can make new contacts and initiate research and innovation projects
- to promote innovation and commercialization of knowledge and research related to environmental, energy and building issues
- to make The Øresund Region better known, thus attracting environmental, energy and building experts, researchers and other competencies to the region.

Øresund Environment Academy is a network transcending national and academic borders, forming a natural link between research, the business community and the public sector in The Øresund Region.

Øresund Environment Academy works within three related spheres: partly with capacity construction through network activities, partly with project development activities and partly with the related positioning of these collective activities.

The business sector, 12 universities and the public sector form a powerful trinity in The Øresund Region with relations to both environment, energy and building. The academic and business communities constitute a powerhouse for research and development in applied and basic environmental, energy and building research.
